Chris Howe Ceramics was preceded by KD Laboratories, established by Chris’s Father Kenneth Howe in 1964. Kenneth gained the reputation of being one of the best chrome technicians in the country. Chris followed in his father’s footsteps and qualified as a Dental Technician in 1978, with a City and Guilds qualification from the London Institute.
Chris developed his repertoire of technical skills first at a commercial lab and then at Guy’s Hospital in London, before joining his father’s laboratory to set up the crown and bridge department. After Kenneth’s retirement in 2001, KD Howe Laboratories became Chris Howe Ceramics, specialising in crowns, bridges, and implants.
CHC employs four highly motivated registered technicians who regularly attend advanced training course in the UK, as well as international meetings and exhibitions to explore and evaluate innovative solutions from across Europe and North America. This approach ensures your practise benefits from informed advice on the array of aesthetic solutions available on the market as well as having direct access to the most advanced techniques currently available.
At Chris Howe Ceramics we pride ourselves on taking a personal approach with every client we work with. We acknowledge that case guidance is a key component in meeting the expectations of patients in private practise and therefore take an active role in the dental surgery team working closely with clinicians. This includes:
- Providing technical guidance on the range of treatment options and materials available
- Shade Taking (Both at the laboratory or chairside at your surgery)
- Custom finishing
- Support with treatment planning from a technical perspective
Chris Howe Ceramics also offers consultation to both patients and dentist to discuss their individual requirements, producing diagnostic wax ups and Photoshop images so that patients can envisage the final results.
